WDEL: AG Biden seeks crackdown on Four Loko
Four Loko comes under fire yet again.
This time, Attorney General Beau Biden is calling on the federal government to crack down even further on deceptive marketing surrounding the super-sized alcoholic beverage.
The flavored malt beverage, packaged in 23 ounce cans, is 12-percent alcohol and often referred to as “binge-in-a-can.” Consuming just one can of Four Loko is comparable to drinking nearly 5 beers.
The FTC ruled Phusion must disclose the number of alcoholic servings in one can and the beverage must come in resealable cans. But Biden wants them to go even further.
