BusinessWeek: Biden asks for temporary Del. foreclosure freeze

A spokesman for Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden’s office says Biden is calling on mortgage banks to suspend all pending foreclosures in Delaware until their foreclosure policies are reviewed.

Biden spokesman Jason Miller said in an e-mail Monday that the attorney general’s office is sending a letter to mortgage banks this week requesting the moratorium.

Biden also plans to ask for detailed information about the lenders’ foreclosure review and verification process, as well as complaints from Delaware homeowners about court documents that contained inaccurate information, improper notarization or signatures.
